Meet Jeremy
Jeremy is a highly certified high school English teacher with an endorsement in History and Social Science. He has also earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Policy from the University of Illinois and a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Greenville University.
He taught for five years at South Central School District #401 before leaving education and starting his own business. After five years of jumping into entrepreneurship journey, he began teaching at Cowden Herrick School District #3A. Throughout his teaching career, he has been a substitute teacher for three years in multiple districts, taught a variety of courses in Social Science and English, and taught as an adjunct professor at Kaskaskia College.
His goal is to inspire students, teachers and anyone he comes into contact with to be a lifelong learner. Jeremy believes education is the key to solving our world’s problems.
He is currently teaching coding, 3D printing, and other STEM related activities in his English classes. He also loves learning and teaching with new cutting edge technology and apps including TikTok and SnapChat.
Jeremy has presented at several education conferences throughout the Midwest including IETC, Illinois Reading Council Conference, Innovate to Great in Quincy, IL, We R Richmond Expo (Richmond, IN), Indiana Writers Conference and Innovations for Learning Conference in Lexington, KY. He is scheduled to present at the IDEA Conference (formerly ICE) in 2020.
In 2011, Jeremy was chosen as Scholastic Inc. 2011 Classroom Solutions Teacher Advisor where he blogged about implementing technology in his classroom.
